How to start using your IQOS ILUMA?
You want to start using your new device? Follow our short and simple guide. Step by step:

1. Turn ON your IQOS ILUMA
   Before starting an experience always make sure that the device is charged and turned ON. 
   How to turn on your device?
   Press and hold the Pocket Charger button for 4 seconds. Status lights on the Pocket Charger and the Holder will slowly light up. 
   Do you want to know how many sticks you can heat up?
   You can check that on your Holder and Pocket Charger. Press the button and status lights will light up, indicating the number of available uses: 
    
   • Two lights mean that the device is fully charged, i.e. ready for two heating experiences.
   • One light means that the Holder is ready for a single use.
   • If none of the lights are glowing, charge your Holder in the Pocket Charger.
2. Insert TEREA tobacco stick
   Gently place a TEREA stick inside the Holder. Remember that the mouthpiece line must be slightly above the top edge of the device. 
   Your IQOS will start automatically thanks to the Autostart function.
   If that function is disabled – press the button on the Holder for 2 seconds to start the heating process.
3. Start heating 
    
   • One vibration and slowly pulsing lights mean that the TEREA stick is being heated.
   • Two vibrations and lights glowing with a solid light mean that your IQOS ILUMA is ready for use and you can begin your experience.
   • Please note: an experience may be interrupted, if the TEREA stick is moved inside the Holder or removed from the Holder while the device is being used.

4. End the experience
   When the device vibrates and status lights start pulsing, it’s a sign that there are 30 seconds or 2 puffs remaining until the experience ends. 
   What to do after the experience is finished?

   • Remove the used TEREA stick.
   • Let it cool down.
   • Dispose of the used stick to an appropriate waste container, as per applicable waste disposal regulations.

   Now you can replace the TEREA stick with a new one. Please note: if one light is glowing, you have only one experience remaining. This means that after the next experience you will have to charge your Holder in the Pocket Charger.  

IQOS ILUMA vibrations explained

Check what the vibrations of your device mean during different stages of its use:

1. During preheating: 
   This means that you want to start an experience. IQOS ILUMA will start vibrating when you insert a TEREA tobacco stick in the Holder.
2. When the device is ready: 
   Two vibrations mean that preheating is finished and your IQOS ILUMA is ready for use.
3. During the experience countdown:
   These vibrations mean that you have 30 seconds or 2 more puffs remaining before your experience ends.
